GETracing is the Formula Student Team of the Technical University of Dortmund. We develop and manufacture Formula-style race cars with which we compete against other student teams at Formula Student events. Since we started developing our first electric race car, the complexity of the embedded systems has increased significantly. We develop all embedded systems in-house, including the inverter, the battery management, the driving controller, a live telemetry system and various sensor and pdu boards. Since these changes involve a significantly larger development effort, we have established a dedicated embedded software team for the 2020/21 season, which I have the privilege of leading. © Image by Jan Jacobs
